The Metro East Young Democrats is the representative group for the Madison County Democratic Party and leaders for community development in the Illinois Metro East.
As young voters we represent over one third of the voting population, but 90% of us never turn out to vote at the polls!
During this past election more of us came out and were significant contributors to the win of President Barack Obama. We need to maintain that moment and continue our influence through participating in our local politics and making sure to keep hitting the polls.
